Aging, part 2 – Rob Bell sermon not to miss

August 28, 2010 — 1 Comment

Two of my sons simultaneously notified me that I should listen to a recent sermon by Rob Bell on the topic I brought up a couple of posts ago from my vacation musings.  It’s a kind of Theology of Aging that we’ll be addressing later this year at church.  But let me encourage you to take time to listen. It’s called “The Village Elder”  from August 22, 2010. [Click here] We need God’s view of time and growth and fruitfulness at every age.  A real gem based on the great words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 4:16 [in The Message.]

So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.

Great sermon! We weren’t implying that you were aging, just thought you’d appreciate the timely message…
