Tough Neighbor-Love Questions

vangogh-good-samaritan.jpgJesus told parables to help us fight against easy answers.  The Good Samaritan story was his response to a testing, rationalizing expert in the Law who wanted to DEFINE a neighbor more than learn (in Jesus’s School of Discipleship) how to BE a neighbor.  Part 6  in our series, So You Want To Change The World, is linked here at the Christ Church sermon resource page.  You can listen to or download the audio or read the text of the teaching.  It focuses on 2 questions:

1. The religious leaders in the story asked, “If I stop to help this injured man, what will happen to ME?”  2. The Samaritan asked, “If I don’t stop, what will happen to HIM?”   Click here for Martin Luther King Jr’s  sermon that prompted the teaching on the two questions.
